Ever since the founder of L'Oréal, Eugène Schueller, created the first synthetic hair dye back in 1907, people around the globe have been creating a new identity for themselves with every shade imaginable or for many, holding onto their youth by camouflaging those ‘life clock’ greys.
For most of us, going to the salon was an anticipated occasion we looked forward to every 6-12 weeks and we just couldn’t wait to catch our stylist up on the latest goss and drama in our lives over a good coffee.
Then POOF - just like that, it’s gone! Covid has left millions of us defending for ourselves and relying on our skill set (or lack thereof) to get us through quarantine and isolation. Which has left a lot of us looking like an abandoned dog who had a fight with a hacksaw... and it would seem that we aren’t afraid to show it.
The “covidcut” has been trending on multiple social media platforms such as Twitter and TikTok for months now, providing plenty of entertainment and laughs at others' expense.
